ICC world cup Cricket Finals 2017

Well played India. Thank you for all your efforts and most importantly thank you for creating this interest about women’s cricket in India. It is a heartbreak but you paved a way to many others and one day some other team of blue women will lift that trophy for sure. Jhulan Goswami, Punam Raut, Kaur, Veda, Deepti and the entire team is amazing and did decent job. There will be a day when it is yours to boast and it is just not today.

For anyone who might wonder, I would react in the same way when our men lose a match. The last time I lost my control over a cricket team losing a match is when i was 16.

England won the match and they very well deserved the win for their well-planned bowling and amazing fielding. May the better team win is always the moto of the game and it prevails. The tension, the nail biting, waiting on the edge of your seat for each and every ball, these are all the very same things a cricket match played by men give us and it is nothing different today. I just hope this craze over Women’s cricket stays and grows more that one day, it is treated on par with men’s cricket.

I’m just surprised to see how fit these women are and how much hardwork they must have put into to be like that. I wish i have atleast 10 percent of that, and i would be something else. I’m a lil bit ashamed that here they are, women playing an ODI match and me who cannot run for 10 minutes to save myself from Rain! I know, I’m Hopeless! πŸ€”πŸ˜‹β˜ΊοΈ

  1. It was such a nail biting match…. Heartbroken now. But as you said never seen so much excitement for a Women’s Cricket event…hope this inspires millions of girls in our country to take up sports. πŸ™‚

    • Exactly, I don’t even remember when was the last time i watched a cricket match like that. Hoping for luck and wishing for a win until the last moment, it was an amazing feeling. It brought back many memories associated with cricket. And I’m so proud because they did a very good job and did not give up until the end.
I hope so too.. i hope the prize money announced by BCCI earlier during the day makes cricket a worthy choice for women of this country.β˜ΊοΈπŸ˜ƒ

  2. Nothing to be ashamed..its good to get wet in rain too sometimes πŸ˜€πŸ˜€
The ladies did well to reach the finals and the way they played throughout was brilliant..
Although i do feel we could have won had the players applied themselves a bit when it was crunch time we did not know what to do but i guess that will come with experience..
So hats off to the girls .. and best wishes for next time..

    • 😜 I enjoyed Melbourne’s showers too. It just felt so good after a long time.
Don’t be too hard on them.. the match could’ve swayed either way. The other team is just a bit too good at holding their nerve. You must know, growing up in a country like ours, where support for sports is rare, they are girls playing a game that doesn’t even promise them a reliable future. If this changes, maybe they’ll change too. πŸ€“. I’m just so proud of them.πŸ€—πŸ˜ƒ

      • I totally support them. No second thought about that. But so near..
Maybe if bcci had provided them with a better coach anyway hindsight is a virtue..
The girls did brilliant as I said….
